Settlement of Discrimination Lawsuit Against City Scheduled Tomorrow

Former officer Andrea Heath was involved with a variety of high profile internal matters regarding the Desert Hot Springs police department. 

Heath's $5 million discrimination lawsuit against the city naming former city manager Rick Daniels and former police chief Patrick Williams was winding its way through the courts. Andrea Heath's report to the FBI was instrumental in the convictions of former Desert Hot Springs police officers. 

The circumstances of death are under investigation.

The Skyborne HOA cancels contract of the unlicensed contractor under indictment by the District Attorney.

Peter Chyssikos has political ties and hires high-priced big name criminal defense attorney John Patrick Dolan for what is usually an administrative matter.

A jury trial at the Indio Courthouse is expected in January.

The most divisive person in the Coachella Valley is back.  The $100 a plate dinner benefits the Chamber of Commerce. No proclamation or basket of fruit expected.  “I can understand why they are having this event in Rancho Mirage,” said Rita DeValle, a resident of Desert Hot Springs. “If they had his event in our city there would likely be protesters with picket signs.”

Members of the public did not take kindly to being accused by Scott Matas of being liars. The councilman apologized at the end of the meeting, after the man Matas accused of being a liar had left for home.

Protest Against Event Commemorating 9/11

It was the only event in the city commemorating our nation’s 9/11 tragedy.

The small group of nine protesters picketing are affiliated with Mayor Parks' re-election campaign. Their protest appeared entirely politically motivated.

The apparent brains behind the protesters was Tim Radigan-Brophy, the colorful business partner of councilman Scott Matas. Military veterans in attendance said they were offended.

It was a small irritation to those gathered inside for the two and a half hour event.

The city of Needles gets letter of endorsement for Rick Daniels job application for city manager. The alias known as "The People" is a convicted felon now under indictment by the Riverside District Attorney for additional crimes.

Maintaining a high profile public persona, Peter Chryssikos has a troubling history as an unlicensed contractor the state wants to put a stop to.

The business and continuing relationship between Chryssikos and Daniels is a dilemma for the million dollar lawsuit.
