Skyborne Developer Pays Council Members for Special Deal as City Falters

With the city near bankrupt, developer Jim Kozak pays $6,000 to Yvonne Parks, Scott Matas and Jan Pye instead of paying the city of Desert Hot Springs the $200,000 as agreed. Kozak does not want to pay for the required public improvements. Already the city of Desert Hot Springs is rife with unfinished residential developments for his Skyborne project. Every time the city has been through this before the city always end up losing. The old council on its last legs will make the decision at Tuesday’s council meeting.
